Behind The Scenes

A Log Cabin Kitchen Remodel.

We decided to reorganize the space a bit using cabinetry with a darker paint–Sherwin Williams “Iron Ore”. Extremely neutral, it contrasted well with the wood floors and existing interior. They appear dark in the photos but in reality, presented a great contrast overall.

Changes:

–relocated the sink from island to window.
–eliminated the range, located induction cooktop in corner, and incorporated a speed cook and single oven in a tall cabinet.
–created a 7″ deep pantry utilizing the 3 1/2 recess in the wall.
–appliances: GE Cafe, Bosch, and Sub Zero.

This kitchen is long and narrow…difficult to photograph. But hoping you can appreciate the transformation!

Project located in a remote area in Sperryville. The existing interior boasted lots of “red” wood. Including the kitchen cabinets. Not ideal.
