Behind The Scenes

A Kitchen, Pantry, and Beverage Area Remodel.

Initially, the client provided me with a list of appliances, stating that they were “settled on Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances”. Before committing, I suggested they visit the Virginia ADU location and meet with appliance expert, Joe Hilferty. After their meeting, they walked away with selections from GE Monogram, Miele and Sharp appliances, paneled where appropriate.

Although at the initial meeting, full overlay cabinetry was desired, we landed firmly in the land of flush inset combined cabinetry (the island came as ONE piece!) with a 22-degree bevel lip profile by Hickory Creek Cabinetry. Flush inset cabinetry always knocks the look of the kitchen “up a notch” and can be designed so the aesthetic is not entirely stiff and formal.

Cabinetry paint was Sherwin Williams “Honed Soapstone”

Floors wide plank natural white oak.

This was a very grand contemporary newly constructed home located in Flint Hill, Virginia. All aspects would be considered high-end luxury.
